Bengal Florican are found in grasslands and open forest of Combodia, the Bengal Florican are also found thousands of kilometers away in a second tiny population among the base of the Himalayas.Currently there are 1000 Bengal Florican left in the wild.

The Nilgiri Tahr commonly know as Nilgiri ibex or just ibex.The nilgiri tahr is an ungulate,endemic to the Nilgiri Hills and the southern portion of the western ghats in the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala in southern India . Nilgiri Tahrs are stocky goats  with short ,coarse fur and a bristly mane.

They are killed for their   meat.They are only found in same places like north pacific and north Atlantic.

The IUCN list of threatened species (also know as IUCN red list or red data list ), founded in 1964, the world's most comprehensive inventory of the global conservation status of biological species. The International Union for the conservation of nature(IUCN) is the world's main authority or organization, which assess the risk of extinction to species within a political management unit.

                              The IUCN red list is set upon precise criteria to evaluate the extinction risk thousands of species and subspecies. These criteria are relevent to all species and all regions of the world. The aim is to convey the urgency of conservation issues to the public and policy makers, as well as  help the international community to try to reduce species extinction .

8. Kashmir Red Stag (Hangul)

   The Kashmir Stag is one of the critically endangered animals.
In the 1940s, the population was 3000 to 5000 individuals. The only surviving animal of the Red Deer family in Europe and the Indian Subcontinent. This very beautiful species is exclusively found in the regions of Kashmir and is also the state animal of Kashmir.


It is time we save these animals before they vanish

9.Lion Tailed Macaque

The Lion Tailed  Macaque is the worlds oldest monkey ,endemic to the Western Ghats of South India. It's outstanding characteristic is it's Silver-white mane surrounding its head from the cheeks to the chin. These animals weigh around 10 kg. There are only about 1000 of these animals left.  They can be found only in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

The red-cockaded woodpecker has been on the endangered species list since October 1970.The red- cockaded woodpecker are the largest woodpecker in world.They are found in the North-central hills,South Central and Pine Belt region. there are only 2000 left.

10.Indian Bison(गौर)
The Indian bison is the largest existent bovine native to south Asia and south east Asia. They weigh an average of about 650-1000 kg. There are only about 1000 of them left. They are poached for their fur and horns.They can be found only in Kerala  and Chennai.
